Hi, and welcome to the first post on Sentient Puddle. It’s going to be a short one, mainly because I feel like I’m doing my homework. And given that I left school more than a little while ago, it’s a strange feeling. Although I’m starting to find strange feelings rather comforting, if that isn’t an oxymoron. As I’m getting older, I’m getting more and more strange feelings. Most of them muscular. The rest of them slightly bemused.
Anyway, the purpose of my first post wasn’t intended to be the ramblings of a slightly unhinged mind, more the introduction to what I’m doing here and why.

The Sentient Puddle blog is really a place for me to come and have a chat with myself. I’ll be sharing things that I find amusing with myself, venting my spleen to myself about things that annoy me, and reminding myself of things that I have to do. Which reminds me, I must check to find out what a spleen is, if I have one, and if so where do I keep it.

I’ll be blogging about what I’m trying to do in the world of ecommerce. I’ve got three websites that are either live on the world wide web, or in development. They are selling computers, men’s fashion and solar products. Not really linked together as a group of products are they? But it’s all a question of sourcing good products from good suppliers and that’s what I’ve done with those three. So I’ll be making irregular updates to my blog about my activities, and will probably also do flashback style posts about how a started down this road.

I think that’s enough to start off with. It’s a finely judged line as to what stage I will bore myself, and I don’t want to cross it at my very first attempt. And I need to go and make the tea.
